Sideboard Philosophy

What comes out first, and why it is almost never a threat.

The fifteen is built around three questions: can they block, can they combo, and do they have artifacts.

What comes out

first, in most matchups, for the reason §12 sets out: against removal that exiles or destroys it does nothing, and it is only ever a trigger. second. third, when one damage answers nothing they have.

What does not come out

Threats. The deck loses by running out of clock, not by losing a combat, and cutting a threat to add an answer usually makes the clock slower without making it safer.

Rules noteIf boarding has reduced the number of cards that deal damage, board again.
