Count the cheap When Defeated units in hand. Without one, the leader ability has nothing to eat and the deck is a pile of expensive cards. Note whether the two-cost Krennic unit is available this round: it is the discount, and it only applies to the first such unit each round. Ask whether the Credit is worth more than the body. Against an aggressive board it usually is not. Check remaining HP across your own units before playing Pre Vizsla, not printed HP. Count your resources. Seven is a different game to six. On the deploy turn
Confirm there is another friendly unit for the deploy trigger to use. Play the Plot cards from your resource zone before ending the phase. Remember the deployed leader is a unit and can be taken control of. From the guide . §17 Condensed Pilot Summary
Your cheap units are your mana. Eat one a turn when you can afford to, order the round so the discount lands on the expensive body, and count to seven. When you get there, deploy with a friend on the board and empty your resource zone of Plot cards.
