Competitive pilot guide

Deck thesisYour cheap units are your mana. Feed them to the leader, get paid for every death, and deploy a 4/9 while they are still on curve.

Difficulty to pilot

Moderate
  • The decision repeats every turn and is always the same shape: is this body worth more as a Credit than as a blocker. It is easy to answer badly in a way that looks productive.
  • Ordering inside a round matters more than in most decks, because the discount goes to the first When Defeated unit played rather than the one you would choose.
  • The deploy is a hard threshold at seven resources, so a game is usually decided by whether you got there with a board rather than by any single play.
  • The rules text carries the edges: remaining HP on Pre Vizsla, control-then-defeat on No Glory, an aspect chosen at resolution on Lawbringer.

Where it gets hardKnowing which turns not to take the Credit, which is the whole matchup against the top of the format.
