Competitive pilot guide

Deck thesisThe trash is a second hand. Fill it, play out of it, and take points while it fills.

Difficulty to pilot

Advanced
  • The conversion rate is capped in a way the Legend text does not say out loud. Spending an empower exhausts the Legend, so one converts per turn however many you bank, and the whole deck has to be sequenced around that.
  • Three cards look like engine pieces and are not. Tokens are not cards, so Treasure Hunter, Forge of the Future and Up from the Deep produce no empowers at all.
  • The trash is four competing resources at once. Rhasa wants depth, Fizz wants a cheap spell, The Harrowing wants an expensive unit, and Flow wants its own card back, while Fizz and Flow both shrink it.
  • It invites the wrong role. The deck feels like inevitability against control and is the beatdown there, and pilots who play it as a value deck lose to decks with worse cards.

Where it gets hardKnowing which turn to stop building on. Everything the engine generates is worth nothing on a turn where the Legend is exhausted or the game is already decided.
