B · Engine & Sequencing · §9
Silent is the resilient default; Deadly Weapon changes the deck’s role rather than merely lowering its curve.
Silent costs 4 Energy, has 4 Might, cannot be chosen by enemy spells or abilities unless she is in combat, and gains +2 Might for the turn whenever she moves to a battlefield.◆src
She is the correct default because she provides guaranteed access to a midgame threat, six Might on the first move to a battlefield, resistance to removal while staged at base, excellent scaling with repeated movement, and a natural target for Discipline, En Garde, Shroud and Mask.
Each move to a battlefield creates another +2-Might effect for the turn. If the first battlefield was Back-Alley Bar, moving Silent from the Bar to base also gives +1 that turn, so she can arrive at the second battlefield as a 9-Might unit before additional tricks.
Deadly Weapon costs 3 Energy and has 3 Might. She can Empower for 2 Energy and one Fury Power, becomes 4 Might while Empowered, and deals 1 damage whenever she moves to or from a battlefield, increased to 2 while Empowered.◆src
She is not simply a cheaper Silent — she changes the deck’s role. She is stronger when the opponent plays many one- and two-Might units, when damage can finish units already hit by Shuriken Flip, when repeated movement generates multiple removal events, and when immediate three-Energy deployment matters more than protection.
She is weaker when the opponent has efficient targeted removal, when raw Might determines the battlefield, when they present one large defender, when you need a stable unit outside combat, or when the damage targets are all too large to matter.
