9 of 44 listed cards carry a Power requirement. A card with two domains counts under both, so these do not sum to the deck size.

Energy, type and domain are printed card values from the Riftcodex snapshot, joined against this guide’s list.

From the guide — §3 Deck Architecture

Registered versus shuffled

The deck is registered as 40 cards including Akali, Silent. The Chosen Champion begins in the Champion Zone, leaving 39 shuffled cards and 16 shuffled units. Riftbound’s deckbuilding rules make the Chosen Champion part of the Main Deck while placing it in the Champion Zone at the start of the game.◆src

That distinction matters enormously. You have guaranteed access to a powerful four-Energy threat, but your actual library is only 16 units, 4 Gear and 19 spells. This is a spell-dense tempo deck with a reliable external threat, not a 17-unit conventional midrange deck.

A polarized curve

One- and two-Energy cards let you develop while representing interaction. The three-Energy unit slot is completely empty in Game 1 — Back Off is the only three-cost card. Durable midgame bodies begin at four, and the six-Energy top end exists only after sideboarding.

Pilot noteAkali, Silent smooths this structure because she is always available on four. You can keep hands that would be too threat-light in another tempo deck, because the Champion Zone guarantees a 4-Might unit with immediate movement scaling.

The central architectural tension

Strategy thesisNineteen spells cannot score. Your tricks are efficient only when attached to a unit capable of affecting a battlefield.
