Sideboard Philosophy
Three axes — champion, tricks versus bodies, tactical versus structural — with a 16-unit floor.
Axis 1 · Silent versus Deadly Weapon
Silent is resilient, tall, and best against targeted interaction. Deadly Weapon is cheaper, repeatable damage, and best against wide small-unit boards.
Axis 2 · tricks versus actual bodies
Brynhir and Ferrous let you increase unit density when the opponent can exhaust your limited threats. Ferrous Forerunner is a six-Might body whose Deathknell produces two 3-Might Mech tokens at base, making it the deck’s best attrition and reconstruction card.◆src
Axis 3 · tactical interaction versus structural answers
Against the Odds answers width.
Not So Fast answers targeted interaction.
Thermo Beam answers Gear engines.
Brynhir answers turns built around cards from hand.
Ferrous answers prolonged unit attrition.
Default sideboarding rules
Avoid falling below 16 shuffled units.
Remove Mask before casting Thermo Beam when practical.
Cleave is the first spell cut when the matchup is not about attacking through one defender.
Inferna is the first unit cut when its Ambush body is unlikely to trade profitably.
Do not bring Not So Fast against decks that mostly target their own units.
Do not switch to Deadly Weapon merely because the opponent has units — the damage must reach meaningful breakpoints.
Bring Brynhir only when the game will reach six Energy and stopping card play creates a decisive turn.
