Core Tactical Lines

The eight lines a pilot should be able to run without thinking about them.

Default line

The minimum lone Hold

01Place one unit at the battlefield that mattersPoro, Scuttle or Tempered. One, not two.
02Leave the other battlefield uncrowdedThe counterattack has to come from somewhere.
03Pass with interaction availableThey have to price every card you might hold.
04Let them commit enough to beat the printed MightThe Legend bonus is the part they cannot see.
05Spend the minimum card that keeps you aheadOne reaction, not the whole hand.
06Counterattack with what was never committedTheir attackers are exhausted; yours are not.
Rules noteThe bonus is information they do not have. Make them pay for finding out.
Strategic purposeTurn one body into more opposing resources than it costs you, then convert the difference into a point.
Failure conditionsSpending three protection cards on one Hold while the second battlefield goes uncontested.

Each line below turns on the same judgement: how little you have to commit, and what is left over once they have spent enough to force a response. The mechanics are the easy part.
