Rengar Unit Velocity

Competitive pilot guide

Deck thesisEvery unit is a body and a one-turn combat trick at once. Commit only enough to win the exchange in front of you.

Difficulty to pilot

Moderate
  • The engine states in one line: play a unit, give a unit +1 Might for the turn. Nothing has to be assembled and no hand is unplayable.
  • Thirty-one of the 39 shuffled cards are units, so the deck does what it looks like it does and the Legend is almost never blank.
  • What is genuinely hard is restraint. Knowing when to stop playing units is a judgement call the deck asks for on almost every turn, and getting it wrong loses games that were already won.
  • One real rules interaction matters: Kinkou checks its condition on resolution, so the Legend trigger can be ordered above it to reach the threshold.

Where it gets hardAllocating temporary Might across two battlefields rather than one, and reading which units are still ready afterwards. The floor is friendly and the ceiling is not.
