The stuff in front of you

Eight spots are printed on the mat. You already understand most of them.

The mat in front of you has a printed spot for everything. Here they are, and then a picture of where they sit.

The eight spots

  1. 1The battlefield strip. One long band with room for two battlefields. Send creatures up here.
  2. 2Your Legend. Your captain. Sits out where everyone can see, all game.
  3. 3Your Chosen Champion. One creature you pick before the game. It gets its own spot.
  4. 4Your base. Where your creatures land when you play them, before they go anywhere.
  5. 5Your main deck. Your creatures, spells and gear, face down. You draw from the top.
  6. 6Your rune deck. A second, smaller deck. Runes only. They live apart from everything else.
  7. 7Your runes. The runes you have already put down. They sit here making Power for you.
  8. 8The trash. Where cards go when they die or get used up.
