For grown-ups
What Kids Mode is, and what it is not
Kids Mode turns this site into a much smaller one: decks a child can read and cards a child can look up. It is a view of the site rather than an account, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel.
It is off in this browser. The button at the top of this page turns it on, and one tap is the whole of it.
What a child can reach
This is the complete list, counted from the same file the pages are built from rather than written out here by hand. When somebody writes a second deck for a child, it appears below on its own.

Each game also has a card search. A card shows its picture, its name and the two numbers printed on it. It does not show rules text, a set code, a rarity or a price, because none of those is something a child at a kitchen table can use.
What is absent
Absent, not greyed out. A disabled button is an invitation: a child taps it, something refuses them, and the site now has a locked door in it. So these pages are not rendered and then hidden. They are refused before anything is drawn, and typing the address for one lands back on the Kids Mode shelf.

There is no child account, and nothing is recorded
Kids Mode is a setting on the device, kept in a cookie this browser owns. It works signed out, and turning it on does not sign anybody in or out. There is no child account to create, no name, no age and no email address is asked for, and nothing about the person reading is written down: not which deck they opened, not which cards they searched for, not how long they stayed.
That is the reason it was built as a view rather than as an account. A site that holds nothing about a child has nothing about a child to lose, to sell or to be asked for.
The lock is a child lock. It is not security.
You can set four digits that have to be typed before Kids Mode can be switched off. It is off unless you set one. Here is exactly what it is worth: the digits are stored in a cookie in this browser, and anyone who opens the browser developer tools can read them off the screen. The page cannot read them, and they are checked on our server rather than in the page, so a child cannot get past by reloading with scripts turned off. That is the whole of the protection.
It is enough to stop a seven year old wandering into a team thread or spending something of yours. It is not enough to stop a determined teenager, and we are not going to describe it to you as though it were. Treat it as the lock on a kitchen cupboard, not the lock on a front door.
Cyberpunk TCG is not here at all
That game is dropped whole rather than filtered, and the difference matters. Filtering would mean promising to screen a card catalogue picture by picture and keep it screened as new cards are printed. That is a promise this site cannot keep, and a parent would reasonably believe it. Removing the game is a promise it can keep. The child sees a plain sentence saying the game is not here, so its absence reads as a decision rather than as something broken.
Turning it on, and getting back out
On: the preferences row in the footer of any page, the panel on your account page if you are signed in, or the button at the top of this page. There is no sign in step and no page in between.
Out: the Grown-ups button in the Kids Mode header, and nowhere else. If you have set the four digits, that is where they are asked for. A second way out somewhere quieter would be a way round the lock, so there is not one. The digits themselves are set and cleared from your account page.
Look before you hand it over
Kids Mode renders whether or not the switch is on, so you can read every page a child would see before deciding. Start at the shelf.
